The Raving Lunatic

The following is from a dialogue with a friend… who wanted to rid of her ego. Nothing unusual about that… most of the people I meet on some kind of "spiritual path" make the same claim… "I want to be free of my ego" or something along those lines.

The ego, a much misunderstood aspect of the human being, is not in my experience something to be got rid of.

Ego is simply the "I" within us. The same "I" in you that wrote the message you sent me, and expressed and felt the things you wrote in that message.

Our challenge at this time in human history–humankind’s challenge–is in discovering/uncovering the true nature of that "I".

Most people live under an illusion of misidentification of "I" with the world. "I" am defined by the world I perceive around me. Such people are blind to the fact that world they perceive around them is in fact a projection, and apparition, in the mind of the "I" within them or perceiving through them. The true and essential "I" is not of this world… it is in fact the dreamer of this world.

This is what the Christus was presenting to the world when he said "I Am that I Am"… this is the "I" free of identification with the world… the "I" awakening to its own true nature THROUGH this world. Similarly "I AM the way the truth and the light… none shall pass through to God except through me"… this "I" was not referring to some person, an individual human being, to Jesus and so forth… it is referring to the I AM… within Jesus, within you, within me… that "I" is the "I" of that which some call "God". That "I" is directly accessible to each and every human being, right now.

I Am the fish in the sea… I am the wind in the trees… I am the ocean… I am the waves… and I am the one reading these words here on this computer right now!

God in the experience of God

Some notes written during a Yoga Teacher Training Course at Aio Wera, Waitakere, New Zealand.

Fear, anger, hatred, blame, and the myriad of other states manifesting at this level of being, are mechanisms that arise in order to protect my false sense of separate self. They arise both to protect this and as a product of this sense of separation. My illusions are self-fulfilling and self-sustaining. I fight to maintain this false sense of separate self to feel that I exist as some independent entity that can then objectively experience Unity / God / Love.

Yet I already am Unity / God / Love, though totally unaware of this reality within the body-mind. Through believing in the illusion of separation I sense that I need this experience in order for it to be real.

If I throw off and deny the ego-personality and all its mad emotions and thoughts then I simultaneous deny God the experience of being Unity / God / Love and having AWARENESS of this reality through experience, through direct perception.

Through letting go of attachment to and identity with the ego-self yet not denying it I become more aware (experientially) of my True and Natural state of Being — Unity / God / Love.

ZENThusly, God experiences God.
God aware of God.

Just to be aware.
Awareness is the key.

Ultimately the individual — as a unit of Awareness — discovers their self as God.

This leads spontaneously to to discovering that All-Is-God, that all is one.

One can easily stop here and seemingly cease to exist. Evolution comes to a holt. One’s universe ceases to expand. For the Self, in its usual sense, has nothing left to do.

Yet ultimately the purpose of individualized selfhood is not just to experientially be aware of God as God ones for its own sake but rather to be the full expression of that in its totally, for only then is that awareness of God as God complete. Even this has no finality, for we are, of course, dealing with Infinity when we speak of God.

Self is literally transformed into an absolute expression and simultaneous experience of God, the totality, Infinity. At this point, only, does the ego-self illusion truly cease to maintain and experience itself as a reality unto itself. The Boddisatva returns not through some kind of altruistic volition to save and help all beings. That’s a very personal way of relating to it from the mind of those who thing they are being saved. Rather the Boddisatva is all beings, in one particular expression or aspect, moving in whichever way happens to be most conducive for the totality of all beings to sustain the evolution of awareness.

This is God being ABSOLUTELY AWARE of God as all that God is.

This is total illumination. This is the end of separation - and of self. Evolution at the level of self ceases to Be, and yet paradoxically Awareness continues to evolve in ways unfathomable to Man at this point in our development. Creation ceases. It just is. As it always was. Yet now eternally aware of That.

The inevitability of Success…

Greetings.
It is some months since I lasted posted a blog entry here. Enjoy…

We are going to take a look at what illusions the ego maintains with regards to the concepts we call success and failure.

I know there are many people in the society in which I live who are quite literally striving for success. There are also many people caught up with investing their energy into the belief that they are somehow failures. Then there are those that think they have a fear of success, and that this is what causes them to fail (in their opinion).

I know I that for some years I subscribed to this idea of fearing success. More than just thinking I had a “fear of success”, I am aware that there was also a more elaborate story the ego would tell around this madness: I actually felt like this “fear of success” was something I was somehow a victim to as a result of some unfair thing that had happened to me at some point in my existence; that there was somehow something more noble or “Okay” about having a “fear of success” as opposed to simply “being a failure”; and that the fact I had a “fear of success” made it okay to continue “failing”, whilst I figured out, worked on, and healed the cause of my fear of success. All of this seemed very real and valid at the time. Now it makes me laugh.

This morning I spent some time exploring the nature of success and failure. What I realized during that exercise is what I am going to share with you now.

  • Success is not something I make happen. Rather it is something I re-cognise, allow to be, open to, and express / experience in that state of allowance.
  • Success is simply when my perceived reality is in alignment or accordance with Intention—the Intentionality that is driving my life into being
  • Success is to allow Intent to flow and express unhindered.

Universal Intent (God’s Will, as some put it), or the Intent of Infinity (as others might put it) = success. “God’s will be done”, so to speak. Success is in fact unavoidable. It already IS. The necessary conditions for success are already here and now. In reality success is not only inevitable, but it is right now, and is therefore quite unavoidable.

So let us take a quick look at failure:

  • Failure is an impossibility
  • Failure is to block the alignment of perceived reality and God’s Will (or Universal Intent).
  • This is, of course, impossible and is therefore nothing more than an ego-trip.
  • This means that there is no such thing as failure
  • Therefore failure requires the ego’s cunning illusion of Time. Only in time can I dream up the illusion that I have failed or that I am a failure.

What I see is that so-called failure actually requires energy. I have to invest my power into this state or condition I call failure. Success, on the other hand, already is and on that basis it requires no energy at all. All I have to invest into success is my attention. I simply have to give me attention to what is, here and now, and success is unavoidable.

To have a “fear of success” is really just another cunning way the ego tricks me into continuing to remain caught up in—and investing my energy/power into—the illusion of failure. Fear is perhaps the only form of failure. Fear is also an illusion although it feels real enough in the time in which I experience it. It is only here within time (past, present, and future) that I can experience fear. I once saw it put that F.E.A.R. is an acronym for “False Evidence Appearing Real” or “False Expectations Appearing Real”. What this implies is that fear requires an expectation or evidence. Of course both of these are derived from the past. An expectation is something I pre-establish in the past and bring to what I consider to be now. Evidence is something I gather up in the past and bring to this moment in order to prove or disprove something. If the past was dropped then evidence and expectation would verily vanish forever.

FEAR is also an acronym for Forever Expanding Awareness in Restriction. It is time—the apparent illusion of time—that brings about all forms of apparent restriction. If I drop time and reside in the Eternal Now then what was previously experienced as restriction is instantaneously replaced with Liberation. Thus we end up with Forever Expanding Awareness in Liberation—this website’s namesake.

Again we come back to the reality to in order to engage ones attention with NOW I simply have to be willing to Feal.

To feal, is to heal, which is to be real.

The key points to remember in regards to success and failure are this:

  • Failure is energy inefficient — it is an illusion that requires life-force to maintain. It requires fighting against what is.
  • Failure is, therefore, a fight against your own true nature or Self.
  • Success already is. It is an innate quality or factor built into all that you are.
  • All the conditions necessary for success are here right now.

We shall also take a look at this topic from an etymological perspective—which simply means we will look at the word itself and see what its roots are in order to get to the real meaning behind it.

The word success is derived from the Latin word successus, which is the past participle of succedere, which is the Latin word from which we derive success. This Latin word means “to come after”, or “to follow after”. Originally success simply meant “A result or an outcome”. This was later replaced by the notion that success is when the desired or intended outcome is what results. In the 1400’s we started using the phrase “to succeed well”—”May you succeed well”, for instance. This was the equivalent of wishing someone success in today’s use of English language.

We still use the word succeed to indicate the succession of one thing after another. For example, “The Prince succeeded his father to the throne”, or “The reaction succeeds the addition of the reagent”.

If I make a choice—which is an act of intent—then it is a given that a consequence will succeed that choice. Put simply, my choice will be followed (succeeded) by an outcome or a consequence. If the outcome or consequence accurately reflects my Divinity (the Truth of That which I Am; my true nature) then it could be said that my choice has succeeded well, or that I have succeeded in accordance with What Is (Love / The Will of God / Universal Intent).

If the result of my choice does not accurately reflect my true nature then it could be said that I succeeded badly. The indicator of this is pain of any kind (pain being anything other than deep Inner Peace). Either way I am, in this moment, a success—what I am right now here in this world is what followed-on from the choices I have made. A consequence has followed on from my choice (my act of intent). As an ego-mind (a human identity), I am the success of all my past choices. If I am not happy with the outcome (what I am now) then I must simply look at the choices I have been making and start making different ones.

For those that didn’t find this word exploration too complicated to follow it will have become apparent that the original meaning (or intention) behinds the word success also indicates that success is inevitable. It is unavoidable, and it will therefore require an investment of personal power to maintain any illusion to the contrary—such as the illusion of failure.

It should also be apparent that if you don’t enjoy what you are succeeding at (the consequences which succeed your choices) then the power to change that is in your hands, and always has been. For you are always a success—to fail is simply to make a succession of choices that result in you experiencing something less that what is True about you here and now.

On that note, I wish you the greatest of success in re-cognising the magnificence of all that you are.

Past and Future memory

Whilst sitting a morning or two ago I started to have some realisation with regards to “time”. I experienced “time” more objectively than is usual and in that space I was able to note various qualities. How accurate these observations are I can’t say. They certainly seemed pretty “real” when I had this experience — although for now I put them forward as a hypothesis.

Here are the notes I made that morning…

To the Self (”I”) what we perceive as “past” and “future” are actually the same “thing”. It is only the time related perceptual centres in the brain (a reality creating machine) that puts our experience of time into an apparent linear continuum running from part to future. I suspect this only comes about as a human being takes on an conceptual framework of self-definition during early childhood. Time, as we perceive it, is a product of the ego-mind.

The so-called and apparent “past” has an apparent impact on my future simply because they are the same “stuff”. For instance, if a person maintains that in the past he/she was abused at the age of four and this impacts on that person’s future in such a way that it results in them constantly attracting abusive situations, it appears that the past is affecting their future. What I am suggesting is that a way that is slightly tricky for the mind to comprehend, the past and the future is essentially the same collection of “stuff”. My “now” / current experience of that “stuff” in determined by what my attention is currently fixated on. Because of the cyclic nature of the collective Dream, it is highly likely that patterns will arise as I cycle through that various “stories” within this “stuff” from which past and future appear to arise and take form.

So-called “Karma” is — as previously pointed out — all here and now. Some of us say that past action creates future reaction — or “as you sow, so shall ye reap” — yet really what we are dealing with is the nature of my dream configuration here and now. The degree to which I am unconscious / ignorant is the degree to which life will seem to uncontrollably “happen” to me. If in my apparent “past” I took (unconsciously” certain life-taking actions then, of course, in my apparent “future” I will experience certain similar life-taking events… because nothing leaves it’s source. I simply project out my story into this “stuff” from which the events of my life disappear into (past) and emerge out from (future) as I sit here experiencing the now.

That which is created can not leave its source. The source of that which I appear to do and experience here and now (in this apparent world) is WITHIN.

The secret — as far as I can ascertain — is to wake up to what is going on. This is where awareness comes into the picture. Awareness sheds Light on these aspects of self that were previously in the dark (as far as my perception was concerned), due to ignorance and unconsciousness.

Desire/craving and aversion were recognised as two “impurities” or “defilements” of a person’s “self-hood” that we must get free of simply because these qualities of mind can only arise from and be perpetuates by an ignorant mind. Once I am awake to the fact that EVERYTHING that appears to be taking place in my world is extending out from WITHIN and that it can not leave its source, I will cease to crave or avert what I see in my world.

Rather I will turn the world around and use what I perceive to bring me back to the source from which it all extends — my SELF.

Thus, reality as I experience it right now is exactly what I need in order to set myself free.

Everything is happening for me and not to me, and is ultimately created by me. This we have explored before now. The purpose of everything that I experience is to bring me back to the source — back to Self so that I may reconcile with the Truth That I Am… with Love… with God.

If past and future are composed of the same “stuff” then trying to influence the course of events in my apparent future independent of my memory of the apparent past is just folly.

To bring about a configuration change in the “stuff” that past and future are “made” of I can focus on either — past and/or future. For instance, if something terrible happened to me when I was six — or in some past life thousands of years ago — then until I have reconciled that experience within myself it will continue to exert an influence on and play a part within my apparent future. My memory of the so-called and apparent “past” will influence my “memory” of the future — for they are the same thing. What I appear to be experiencing here and now is simply whatever aspect of my “memory” (past/future memory) I happen to be fixated on with my attention, here and now.

I don’t mean to suggest that if a person is 40 and is going to die at 80, that their 40 years of “future” is going to look exactly like their 40 years of “past”. Rather, what I am suggesting is that what they perceive as their 40 years of history and then experience as the next 40 years of future (prior to death) is just a perceptual illusion generated by the mind as they look outward into their creation (their world). There are many details that will appear to be different, as there are many other influencing factors playing out in a person consciousness that I am not elaborating on here. Also, the choices the make and the intentions they actuate will influence the “stuff” from which their past and future is composed.

My In-tension (intention) will direct my at-tension (attention). Hence it is the power of my In-tention that allows me to consciously (and unconsciously) “create” (or co-create?) my reality. The question that begs to be asked, however, is “do I really wan to?” So long as my focus is “out there” on what I am consciously or unconsciously creating, am I not potentially going to miss the point of it all — namely its function of returning me to God if only I was willing to turn the world around and own and reflect on my role in it all ?

I have a picture I have drawn the illustrates the nature of time as I saw it this morning, compared to time as most people in the “Western” culture perceive it. I will endeavour to transfer this onto my computer and add it to this article.

Control within the collective dream

Okay. Well, here’s a topic I’ve had listed in the feal.org/articles.htm page for ages, but I’ve not written anything for it.
For me this is a hard topic to write on, and that’s something I find rather interesting.
I know that much of what I write is pretty “out-there” for most people yet I express it anyway — I simply don’t take into consideration whether or not readers will be able to accept what I write. I don’t see that as being any of my business. My concern is with writing what I wish to express in a way that will at least be relatively easy to grasp — by those that are ready to grasp it.
Now, this topic of “Control within the dream”. I find it harder to write about this because it’s not at all “out-there”. It’s something that is woven right through the society and planet that we believe is so free and democratic.
Let’s get into it…

I will keep this brief for now. Better you do some research on the internet to get more of a handle on just what’s going on in the world with regards to Control. Check out www.trufax.org for instance. That would be a good start.

What I wish to touch on is that within the collective story there is a vast degree of control taking place. This control plays out on many levels. Much of it is intentional. Much of it is simply a by-product of the capitalistic social structure we’ve got in place. Much of it was initiated thousands of years ago and has been playing out and unfolding right through to this day. Much of it is what people like to call “conspiracy theory” — with heavy emphasis on the word “theory” as if that somehow validates the choice to simply not entertain such ideas. Fear of finding out about what’s really going on is in fact the pan-ultimate form of control.

Let me simply say that much of what is in the media, on TV, in the news, taught in schools, studied in history, science, medicine, etc. is either a lie, a false construction of so-called fact, or has so much truth missing from it as to render it a lie. There’s nothing good or bad about this. It’s just the story we create.

We’ve created such a story, I think, because we are so “out of control”. Most people have very little self-control. Many don’t even have a clear sense of self let alone command over the energy Self makes available to each of us. That lack of self-control results in control being externalised. That externalisation will bring about pain. That pain is the cosmic-feedback mechanism that say “Wake the fuck up and sort it out Bob. Knock knock. Yoohoo…. Bonjour? Hello? Anybody home…”.
Sort what out?
Our mismanagement of personal / cosmic / global energy.

Gosh. I feel bored with this topic already.
I think it bores me because this control factor that is present throughout society is something I been graced / burdened with seeing nearly my whole life — nearly my whole life, as I don’t think I considered such things under the age of 10 or so.
So… perhaps I would have been better to continue leaving this topic empty. I’ve tried. Yet I’ve not even touched the surface. Maybe I just need to leave that up to you.

Renaming the Illusion

I have been playing with various ways of describing ‘the illusion’.

In some ways I see it like a movie. The ego-mind is like the reel of film that is running through the projector and displaying the Movie on the screen within our Mind. The Light that goes through the projector is the Light of God. It is the Light of the I AM Presence which is an extension of God.

In other ways I see it as an ‘Illusion’ as defined in the articles ‘The Illusion’ and ‘Relating to the Illusion’. Because I go into plenty of detail on those pages I won’t go into them here.

Yet, I also see the Illusion as being like a Dream. What is particularly great about this metaphor—well I think so anyway—is that it clearly portrays something rather important about the Illusion. When I experience dreaming at night and waking up in the morning I discover that what seemed so real in my dream experience has now in fact vanished as if it never took place and never existed. In the morning I return to ‘reality’, so to speak. What was ‘bad’ in the dream is now nothing. It doesn’t become good, it simply vanishes. What felt amazing in the dream is now nothing. What was scary in the dream (not that I seem to ever have scary dreams) vanishes. What was beautiful in the dream has now vanished.

It doesn’t matter what I dream about it disappears in the morning. I am also aware that some of what unfolds in my dreaming at night is taking place and is just as ‘real’ as what I am experiencing in the so called ‘waking state’ during the day. So on one level dreams are like a figment of my imagination yet in another regard they are just as ‘real’ as my day-to-day experiences. Both, of course are NOT REAL at all.

Anyway, I don’t feel to explain this any further—maybe because I feel tired and it is late at night—so I will simply make my point now, even if perhaps prematurely.

All I wish to relay here is that I will start referring to the Illusion as ‘The Dream’ from hereon in. I might still use ‘the illusion’ or even ‘the movie’. It matters not. I simply wanted to make sure this change in terminology was clearer understood—in that whatever name I give to what I have previously defined as ‘the illusion’, I am still referring to the same time. I didn’t want you to wonder if I was now talking about something else.

Also I’d like to add that ‘the world’ as we call it is entirely a product of the Dream. The Earth, which is not ‘the world’ is also part of the Illusion but is part of a less prevalent Dream. The ‘world’ is what the predominant Dream at this time lays over the ‘Earth’. I trust that makes sense.

The Extent of the Illusion Esoterically - The Double Matrix

If you have not already done so then please read The Extent of The Illusion. Then come back and read this article.

I have no idea how I am going to explain what is coming to me in attempting to write this article. So I will not try to make it overly coherent. I shall just put into words what I can.

* I see webs encasing the Earth
* I see large groups of Beings / Souls that are hooked up, linked up and feeding off each other energetically
* I am aware that these webs tie in with what is referred to as the “Inner Mandala’s” by the Tibetan Buddhists.
* I see how each is creating a Matrix within the Matrix.
* I see this as the Double Matrix.
* If you have seen the three Matrix movies then you are familiar with the idea that we are living in a Matrix. If you have not seen them then perhaps it is time you did. They portray a lot of rather significant messages—knowingly or unknowingly, it matters not, the messages are there.
* There is a way out of the Matrix. It is programmed into the Matrix. Yet it is simply another program within the Matrix. This was portrayed in Matrix Reloaded. That is why it was ‘reloaded’ so to speak. Neo thought he was stepping out of the Matrix yet it was simply ‘Reloaded’
* The apparent way out (a.k.a. spiritual paths, spiritual practices, enlightenment etc) was just another program within the matrix. Another script within the movie. Another dream within the dream
* This is the double matrix
* What looks like ‘the way out’ is simply a way further into the Matrix. It is just a deeper dream. A more subtle illusion.
* I see certain thought-forms held and maintained by certain ‘beings’ in the world.
* These thought-forms are like a web. A web that catches us as we try to leave the Dream or leave the Matrix.
* There are materialistic thought-forms Their web is quite dense and even physically manifest. Take a look at a satellite photo of a large city like New York at night. It is like a huge web of light. It is the product of a materialistic thought-form. It is a self-created unconscious control structure to hold ourselves in the Illusion—in the Matrix
* On a more subtle level there are other webs of light. Like the cities it is somehow artificial light. It is light that is generated through these webs somehow feeding off those that subscribe to them or “buy into them” with their own Light.
* These subtle webs have a face in the world. That face is much of what we call ’spirituality’ and ‘religions’ and ’spiritual teachers’ and ‘Gurus’ and ‘Tantric Yogi people’ and ’spiritual organisations’ and ‘lamas from Tibet’ and self proclaimed ‘masters, and all this other stuff I can see but will not bother naming
* These things I have just names are the worldly manifestations or extensions of these ‘webs’ of Light—Light that is obtained by those who give the webs light through buying into the webs and it’s worldly extension. Many of the practices taught by these worldly extensions are designed at some level to release us from a dense layer of the Dream—where our Light gets completely taken up with the denseness of what we are projecting as Our Movie—and this gives us a sense of Liberation. Yet the light which has thus been freed up is now feed into this more subtle web to give it Life where there was none. It is actually an absence of light—darkness.
* I see many people getting caught up in this ‘double matrix’. I feel so much love for these people yet there is nothing I can do and nothing I should do except to relay this message in the best way I can.
* The “Revolutions” in Matrix Revolutions is simply and clearly showing how The Program (the Reloaded Matrix, or the Double Matrix) or The Illusion Revolves around. Most people keep going around and have made a number of Revolutions. There are those, however, ‘who want out’ as the Oracle says it to the Director at the end of the movie. Do you ‘want out’ or do you wish to make another Revolution?

Beware of the double matrix. Be-Aware of the double matrix. Be-ware of what you ‘give your energy to’. Be-Aware of the web beyond the web. Love. Be Love. Let the Truth set you free. For it Will and can not fail if you only allow it to performs it’s task. Be Aware of the teachers of Form and seek that which is Formless. For Love and Light has NO FORM.

Drop all that you think you know and watch them with an open mind. There is much revealed to the mind that is open and aware. Remember what you have read on this web site as you watch them.

P.P.S. No this web site and what I discus elsewhere on this site has not been inspired by the Matrix movies. I am aware that many ‘Matrix as bible’ groups and people have sprung up since those movies came out. This is not one of those—in case you wondered. I simply make reference to these movies here on this page because they so perfectly and accurately depict something I have been trying to articulate into words.

Relating to the Illusion - Further explanation

This article is intended to provide further clarification and exploration of that which is explored in “The Illusion - A brief outline”

Today it came to my attention that it may be necessary to elaborate on a few points pertaining to what I have outline in ‘The Illusion - A brief outline’ which were perhaps not covered fully enough—or at all—in that article.

By referring to creation as I know it as ‘an illusion’ I am not denying it’s existence and hence taking this awareness on board should not result in an attempt within to deny the existence of life—in fact quite the opposite should result from understanding the nature of the illusion. By referring to the world and creation as I we know it as an illusion I am simply denying it’s existence in the way we perceive it to be. Put another way I am stating that reality does not exist in the way that we—the collective and singular human ego-mind—have believed.

To give an example at a fairly tangible and relatively understandable level—for the collective ego-mind it is not possible to be in a body in two places at one time yet for those who have mastered various spiritual disciplines this is entirely possible and does in fact take place. Likewise with the world perceived by the human ego-mind it is not possible to teletransport ones body from one location to another yet from the ego-mind of a Shaman (for instance) it is entirely possible and does in fact take place. So here we have an example of ‘reality’ appearing to be one way for one group of people (most of the people alive today) with certain laws defining what is and isn’t possible, yet for another (small) group of people there are entirely different ‘laws’ that make all sorts of things possible that the bulk of the human collective would consider pure fantasy.

Now this is to me actually an example of the illusion taking on very different forms depending on the ego-mind through which it is projected. It does not illustrate the overall nature of the illusion—only that we can all have very different and even contradictory experiences of so-called ‘reality’.

What you see around you does exist and it doesn’t. Now I know your mind is going to hate reading that but it is simply how it is. It does not exist in the way we perceive it to, yet it does have an existence in the Mind of God. God created the I AM (or the “Son”—as used in Judaic-Christian terminology) in the likeness of Itself and as an extension of Itself. The I AM therefore had the power to Create like God yet could never create anything that makes God’s Creation obsolete of contradicts God. God created Light. That Light is what is beamed out through this metaphorical ‘film projector’ I have previously referred to. That Light does ‘exist’ and is ‘real’. Yet as the Light passes through the film of the ego-mind it is qualified in such a way that images appear on the wall (on the screen we experience as the human mind). The images themselves are not real. They do not exist.

If you are seeing an image of a cat on the wall and you remove the film strip then there is no longer a cat. Yet there is still Light—now in it’s pure form—projecting out and we can be aware of that Light. It is this Light that is real whereas the image we make it take on is not ‘real’. The image of Love is as close as we get to creating a real image through the ego-mind but it is still nothing relative to the Love of God that exists within us and is available to us through a direct experience of God. Of course I am attempting to put into words that which is beyond words and it’s all ‘horses for courses’ at the end of the day. I read over this and feel that none of this really gets to the point. I can only apologise for my clumsiness at explaining these things.

So what I would like to emphasise is that we are not here to deny what we see around us. Rather I wish to suggest that there may be a distinct benefit in ‘denying’ they way in which we are seeing reality and interpreting it. Denial ultimately has no purpose yet denial of the ‘right’ kind can assist you in unraveling your apparent entanglement in the illusion—or in the false interpretation of what you are experiencing. I am not referring to a ‘rigid’ kind of denial that is possible for the mind to get into about things it doesn’t want to deal with. Rather I am talking about a ’soft’, ‘kind’, and ‘open’ sort of denial. Let’s say you are looking at a dog and your friend says, “Hey, look at this lovely little kitty cat” (and he really sticks to the notion that its a cat) —at some level you will gently deny that this is a cat, whilst still being loving toward what your friend is choosing to perceive. This is a very different experience from the sort of denial that might rigidly say, “I am perfect. I don’t have any harsh feelings of judgement, and I am only capable of love and goodness”. To this I would say that in fact your power to love and create is equal to, and in fact relies upon, your innate power to hate and destroy.

I hope this makes sense. I will say I found it rather tricky trying to put this into words because my own mind actually has no idea what I am referring to or talking about. It only has memories of it that come about through an experiential awareness of what I am referring to. It is the experiential part that is real. The explanation of it is unreal yet might perhaps allow you to release your tight grip on reality enough to allow some of what I have talked about into your experience also.

I would like to say that this world you experience is Sacred Ground. The body-mind-emotions you experience are Sacred Ground and Sacred Space. For they are all imbibed by the Light of God through Your I AM Presence which is an extension of God. Therefore I invite you to treat this illusion with the same degree of respect and gratitude you would bring to a that which is Sacred. And because that which is Sacred always has an element of the Unknown running through it then please also bring to your experience of this illusion a degree of awe, wonderment, and innocence that a child would bring to any of the great mysteries of life. This wonderment will help prevent you from experiencing rigidity and limitation in your Awareness. The Gratitude and respect will allow you open further to God’s Vision of You and this world.

All that you choose to experience, both in the form of ‘light’ and ‘dark’ has a purpose. It’s just not the purpose most people ascribe to it. The One purpose of everything in your experience (judged by you as ‘good’, ‘bad’ or otherwise) is to return you back to yourself; your true nature; your liberation from false perception. Reject nothing. Love everything. Judge not. Love what is. Allow. Release.

Jonathan’s Dream…

I want to make it quite clear that Jonathan is in his own dream. So long as he is appearing in your world and is experiencing the world then he is in a Dream of one sort of another.

We are but dreamers of a dream. Were I to dream one night that I am a butterfly — upon awakening in the morning I would be lying there in my bed. Who’s to say whether I am in fact now a butterfly dreaming that I am a human lying there in bed, or whether I am a human that’s just woken up from dreaming I was a butterfly?

I don’t want you to take anything I say as Truth. I encourage you NOT to believe anything you read on this site. The Kahuna have a saying with I feel is quite true—”Belief is only necessary for that which is not real”.

Truth is experienced ONLY at the level of re-cognition. It does not happen through beliefs. In fact beliefs are ONLY REQUIRED FOR THAT WHICH IS NOT REAL. We can of course construct beliefs around what we recognise yet I suspect that through doing that we end up one (or more) steps removed from the Truth. That is what happens in most religions in this world. Someone re-cognises the Truth. Then they or other people (more likely the case) set up believes around that re-cognition of Truth. From there people join the religion because it unconsciously reminds them of what they too recognise as Truth but now through their association with the religion they, like all the other followers of religious beliefs, become one of more steps removed from the Truth they were seeking. The religion becomes a substitute for the Truth. Substitutes will NOT set you free.

Back to the topic at hand…

I feel moved to share what I comes into my awareness and the things that I know. I am aware that nothing I say, express and share is unique. It has all been said before. There is nothing that can be revealed to me that has not been revealed to those before me and those after me. There is nothing that I recognise and express which you are not also able to recognise and express. If fact—without wishing to twist your mind in on itself—I can say that in your world I am simply You recognising and expressing that which I AM aware of.

Know also that there are many different ways to express the things I am feeling moved to share. I have seem them expressed in ways far more poetic and elegant that I even seem to manage achieve. Yet as I am not trying to achieve anything in particular I feel complete okay with that and I trust that what I am feeling move to Be and the way I am being That is all part of the Perfection in my world and in yours.

What I know is the Truth for Jonathan in THAT moment.

It may not be the Truth for you.

Stay with what you recognise—at a level of FEELING; not in the mind—and this web site will have served its purpose. You may leave taking nothing with you and that is quite okay.

The Dream I experience may be quite different from the Dream you experience. I get the impression that the Dream I am creating seems to have some script written into it that says “Hey, look, there is the nature of the Dream and over there is the doorway out”. I am gently moving my way toward that doorway.

By sharing my Dream with you perhaps that little script of possible escape will end up being transcribed into your Dream? Or perhaps that script is also written into your dream yet it might have become obscured? Perhaps my sharing that part of my Dream will help bring that same part of your Dream to the forefront of your Awareness through the re-cognition that takes place within you as you read these words?

If not, then so be it. If so, then glory glory hallelujah.

The Extent of the Illusion - Just how deep is the Rabbit Hole ?

In this past week various realisations have made their way into my awareness. I anticipate that there are many Wisdom Seekers out there that might find some of these things a little hard to fathom. Yet I also know that if certain Truths are being revealed the Dream within my experience then there must be others that are also seeing these things and there must be others that are ready to learn about them. If that’s not the case then you might just like to jump back to the Article Index.

Okay, that’s enough fluffing around trying to explain myself !! Of course it’s only the ego-mind playing it’s games but at times I feel to give it some say in the matters at hand.

Seeing the depths
What I am seeing is just how deep and how extensive the Illusion is.
What I am seeing is that most of what I can see in the world today in terms of the various ‘ways out of the illusion’ are in fact more of the illusion. They are not ‘ways out’ at all. They simply take people into another aspect of the Dream. Total awaking does not actually take place at all when these ‘ways out’ are followed.

I can hear my mind thinking, ” These ‘paths’ may, however, help facilitate a certain ‘loosening up’ of the Dream”, and maybe this is so. Yet part of what I am seeing is about ‘control’. Just as there are many Programs of control at a worldly level I am now seeing—in a way that is much clearer and more extensive than ever before—that there are also Programs of control in the metaphysical and esoteric realms.

Faces of the ‘Spiritual’ Illusions
What I am referring to is all the spiritual paths, the practices, the Lamas, the Rinpoches, the Monks, the religions, the Sai Baba’s, the New Age beliefs, the Churches, the spiritual societies and so on and so forth—the list is rather huge . For a Wisdom Seeker these ‘things’ are commonly approached as ways out of the Dream. They are approached as ways to liberate oneself. They are approached as a source of Moksha and Enlightenment. They are approached as ‘the way out’ of the Illusion.

What I am seeing and what I wish to share with you is that—as far as I can presently tell with the Knowing I have—99% of them simply represent another layer of the Illusion. The Wisdom Seeker who ’succeeds’ on these paths may simply go from one more obvious layer of the Illusion into another more subtle and less obvious layer of the Illusion.

The Implications?
So what are the implications of what I am saying? None actually. For It all is as It is. It is—as always—about where we each decide to give our attention.

Only the Truth shall set you free and the Truth can ONLY be found within yourself for in Your world you are all that exists. There is no ‘other’.

Most of the ‘icons’ the world of Wisdom Seekers hold so dear and perceives as being ’spiritual’ and ‘paths out of the illusion’ are a crock of shit. Really. It’s as simple as that. They are not ‘bad’ or ‘wrong’, nor are the ‘negative’. These ‘False Profits’—perhaps that’s what I will call them—are what they are and in my world I have created them in order to facilitate remembering something important about Truth.

You are all there Is, as God
If you are really really serious about setting yourself free then I must tell you that YOU are the Path, YOU are the way out, and YOU are your source of Enlightenment. Of course God is there to help as you go through with Changing the Dream and Stepping Out of the Illusion but that goes without saying because YOU and GOD are one and the same. That which I AM is GOD. That I AM exists only there within YOU in your Dream. If you see it existing within ‘the other’ people out there know that you are only seeing the reflection of the I AM within YOU. The Dream is made of Light and That Light is God, yet the images we ‘make’ with that light is not God. Not to suggest that there is something other than God in existence. No, rather, I am suggesting that the images we perceive don’t exist. The Light running through the projector exists but the image we create with that Light is a figment of the ego-minds’ delusion.

My Experience
Over the years I have come across various so called teachers, Gurus, Masters, enlightened people, Yogi’s, teachings etc. Within each of them I have experienced something very beautiful and something that I recognise as Truth. Yet I have also found that I experience this ‘knowing’ that they are not free and the ‘picture’ they are presenting to the world (and to themselves, of course) is not the ‘whole picture’. I have felt moved to take on certain ‘things’ from ‘their path’ yet there was much I would leave and I would never feel ‘moved’ from within to ‘follow them’ or subscribe to ‘their path’. The one instance we I did subscribe to one of these paths more than usual I found that this place of ‘knowing’ deep within my experience of myself would keep reminding me that ’something isn’t right’—Jonathan, be-aware and see what you need to see. It took something like 7 years for me to see what I needed to see and then I walked away with love and gratitude for having had the experience that these two Yogi’s facilitated in my world.

The denial routine
The extent to which the ego-mind has had a grip on my experience of life and sense of Self is the extent to which I have not known just what to make of this ‘knowing’ that most of the ’spiritual paths’ are as much about control as everything else. I have for many years played it down and not given it a great deal of attention. What I am being shown now is that there is a very sound reason for why I have never felt moved to subscribe to the ways of the many Gurus, teachers and paths out there in the world. At times I felt ‘guilt’ and judgment around this. The ego-mind would get into this line of thinking that revolved around the idea that I must somehow be ‘avoiding’ the Truth and Enlightenment that these paths and teachers etc represent. I entertained the idea that ‘I am simply not surrendering enough and this resistance I am feeling toward such and such is my ego’s resistance to waking up’. It took me many years to get over that and let that lie go.

Quite to the contrary—my ego-mind loved the idea of being able to ‘join with others’ who were somehow more enlightened than me, and to be part of the ‘club’ and know that ‘I belong to something spiritual now’.

User beware
All I really wish to say is, “User beware” (be-aware).

If you are actively following a Guru or spiritual path I invite you to be-aware. Accept that you know nothing and that everything your perceive is not how it really is, and then take another look at this so called path or Guru.

I will also say that in my experience NO ONE THAT HAS BROKEN FREE OF THE DREAM will seek to create FORM around their WISDOM within the Dream. What I mean by this is that when I am free of the Dream I am formless. That formlessness will then pervade everything I do and create within the Dream. So if you come across teachers and Gurus and spiritual paths (etc) that have a lot of FORM around them then again, USER BE-AWARE. By ‘form’ I don’t simply mean form in terms of books, web sites, companies, organisations etc. These are forms that are an innate part of the Dream. Just this article you are reading is FORM.

What I am referring to they will not create FORM around their wisdom and who and what they are. To some extent they may have to create form around how that wisdom is imparted within this world of form—that, I think, would be unavoidable—but the Wisdom itself and their role in imparting It will remain Formless. And I mean Formless on all levels.

All this stuff that goes around about inner councils, Galactic Federations, the Inner Plane Mandalas of the Tibetan Tantric Buddhists, the Ascended Masters and the White Brotherhood, the spiritual hierarchies of the Inner Planes, etc etc, is a projection from within the Human ego-mind. It is a projection from within the Dream and is another means of control. It brings the lesson of being ‘completely out of control’ and just what that means. Ponder that for a while.

The Formless Teachers
The formless teacher wants no followers. She will always return the student to himself.
The formless teachers do not seek recognition.
The formless teachers will not make claims about who or what they are without also making that exact same claim for the student.
The formless teachers will not polarise themselves with the Illusion.
The formless teachers will not present themselves as ’something special’ above and beyond anyone and anything else in this world of Form. The formless teachers will love and share that love.
The formless teachers will not set themselves apart from the Illusion, humanity and everything else within the Illusion. They will not set them selves up as ’something conclusive’ and exclusive. They will relate to you as them self. They will treat you as them self. They will relate to you as God.
The formless teachers will NOT be on some kind of ‘mission to save the world’ or to ‘alleviate the suffering of the world’—because these teachers will see right through that illusion.
The formless teachers will not do fancy psychic tricks to gain your attention and they will not make attempts to appeal to your ego-mind.
The formless teachers will love so deeply and profoundly that you will quite likely fall in love with them, yet they will ALWAYS return you to loving the I AM within you for that is all there is to Love in your Dream.
The formless teachers will not playing out some trip to do with reincarnating to ‘compassionately solve the worlds problems’.
The formless teachers will not go out there (where?) and do battle with the Dark forces—for they will see right through that illusion.
The formless teacher is like the wind. It breezes by, imparts its silent message and moves on.

I don’t wish to name names*. I don’t wish to make anything wrong for IT IS ALL PERFECT. I don’t wish to say that any particular path or person is leading people astray. No one can be lead astray. There are no victims. We are all collectively creating this Dream and hence in your world your create the roles that these teachers of FORM play out. They are there to teach us about our formless Wisdom. Timeless Wisdom. Non-exclusive Wisdom.

All I wish to relay at this time is the simply message—’User beware / be-aware”. There is nothing ‘out there in the world’ that will give you your salvation. It is all deep within your formless Self—that which I AM deep within your so called Heart.

It’s deep within the Heart
Stay with that which is only felt deep within your heart. Oh yes, I know how troublesome that can be. I know how difficult that can be. I know how strong that urge to reach ‘out there’ for answers and salvation can be. Oh yes I know all too well. You and I are not unique in how we experience the pull of the Illusion that I AM somehow less than Perfect. We all go through it. I still watch it playing out within my Dream, just as I am sure you watch it playing out within your Dream. Less and less does it amount to me denying the Truth within my Heart and therefore I know that less and less will it result in your denying the Truth within your Heart.

I love you and wish you well as you too discover just how deep the illusion runs—and the Truth that HAS set you free.

*Okay, I have in fact named one name in this article. I won’t edit this out. It’s okay. Again, the role he is playing is perfect and it is providing an invaluable lesson to those that follow him and believe in his as the source of their salvation. Again, I simply say “be-aware” and let go of that which you are ready to release. Be willing to see that ‘it is not how it appears’. Be willing to turn to the Light of God within your own Being for that is the only access point you have to that Light. It does not exist out there in your Dream within the figments of your imagination (these Guru’s and teachers etc). In your Dream it does NOT exist within me either. Everything you experience ‘out there’ in your world is a projection. It is all playing out within your Mind. So turn within to God not ‘outward’ to God in some path or teaching.

The Illusion - A brief outline

Here I attempt to give a brief outline of what I am referring to throughout this web site when I refer to ‘The Illusion’. I give this outline for the sake of clarity in order to help ensure that we are standing on common ground—at least intellectually if not experientially—as I explore various topics in the numerous articles now on this site.

So, what is the illusion? Well actually you’re looking right at it. These words, this web site, your computer, the internet, everything around you is actually all a part of ‘it’. Obviously it’s necessary for me to elaborate which is of course what this article is all about.

I am going to attempt keeping this as simple as possible—yet already as I write I am aware of how complicated the human ego-mind has become and hence it will invariably complicate things when you read my simple explanation of the illusion. In light of this it may be necessary for me to directly address some of that complication in order to give you a better chance of going beyond the complication and returning to the simplicity. Let’s see how we get on.

Simply put, ‘the illusion’—or Maya as it was referred to in various eastern spiritual traditions—is everything I perceive through the five senses. The word ‘illusion’ simply means “something appearing differently from how it really is”. Actually let’s take a look at the dictionary definitions from www.dictionary.com:

* An erroneous perception of reality.
* An erroneous concept or belief.
* The condition of being deceived by a false perception or belief.
* An unreal image presented to the bodily or mental vision; a deceptive appearance; a false show; mockery; hallucination.

These definitions pretty much sum it all up. What I would like to impress upon you is that everything you perceive—see, feel, touch, think, smell, etc—is an illusion. Now please read that again and then read the above definitions again. Do this again… more slowly this time. Allow what is being expressed here to sink it. Give some time and space to consideration just what it is that you have read.

So, that was the simple explanation. It says it all yet the nature of the human ego-mind is that by now you have probably already had a whole lot of thoughts and feelings thrown up into your perception that are trying to make sense of just what the implication of the above statements really amount to. So, here’s some further explanation for those that want it or believe they require it in order to get a clear feeling of what I have just explained. Oh, and I will add that I don’t anticipate you will necessarily understand simply through reading these words. Really understanding the illusion is an experiential state of being that has to be unveiled within you. These words may simply assist with some of the early steps toward that unveiling.

As far as I can ascertain this world is a projection of our collective mind.
This universe is also the projection of an even greater collective mind.
Creation as we know it is something the ego-mind has dreamt up. That which I AM is the Creation of God—an extension of God created by God. God created that I AM in His—or “Her” if that works better for your ego-mind but for simplicity I will use either—likeness. Hence the Creation of God has the same power to create that God has. Somewhere in the scheme of things the ego-mind created the illusion of separation from God. (Actually even that’s not entirely accurate. I struggle to put this into words.) As it is not possible for separation from God to actually exist, the ego-mind created it in a way that is not too dissimilar to how you make things up in your dreams at night. The reason it is not possible to create actual separation from God is because this would against what God created—namely that I AM an extension of God and hence at One with God. The only way I can create something that contradicts this Truth is to simply dream it up. The ego-mind is the product of mistaken identity. It is neither “good” nor “bad”. It simply is what it is. So long as this world has meaning for you then I would suggest that the ego-mind has purpose and should be taken care of, or at least not ignored or squashed.

The whole universe has been dreamed up in this way. Yes, it is a grand illusion. I am still trying to experientially work my way through this dream and until I do that’s about all I can say.

Something I find rather beautiful about the illusion is that it requires the Light of God to illuminate it. I will use a metaphor that might explain this in a clearer way.

I would like you to imagine a film projector. God created the projector. The projector is You and I as the One and only Son of God—I trust you can cope with my use of fairly traditional Christian terminology in explaining all this. I am not a Christian but I have no issues with this sort of terminology and find it relatively meaningful. I am aware that for some people “it get’s right up their ass” or at least makes them pull make because in their experience Christianity has given Spirituality a pretty bad name for many people. If you are one of those “quite all this Christian crap” people then please do your best to get over it and realise this has nothing to do with any religion and nor does it have anything to do with whatever past memories and experiences you are meeting this article with.

Now, back onto the topic at hand. The projector is You and I as the one and only Son of God. The film running through the projector is the ego-mind. Don’t ask me how in God’s name—no pun intended—it got there, but I will let you know when that is experientially revealed to me. For now I don’t think it matters. The image on the screen—the screen of your Mind—is everything you perceive. Whether that be all the details of normal daily human existence, UFO’s and spiritual entities channeling all sorts of spiritual mumbo-jumbo, heaven and hell, other dimensions and planes of existence, time and space… you name it, it’s all a projection on the screen of your mind.

Now, the significant point illustrated by this metaphor of the projector is that there has to be a source of light. The film itself has no light and has no power and can not produce any image. It is the Light that passes through the projector that is then altered or qualified by the various vibrations (colours) on the cellulose film and this produces the appearance of various moving images on the wall. You Awareness, which is an extension of God, is what provides the light. It is also what ultimately sees the images on the wall, although you will not know this until you’ve stopped identifying with the ego-mind (the film strip) and started again identifying with the projector and ultimately with God—the creator of the projector.

So why do I say this is significant?

I say it is significant because it means that no mater what you are seeing in terms of the illusion it is always going to imbibe or be infused by the Light of God. Do you get what I mean? The image on the screen of your mind is everything you have ever perceived in your life (for instance), and that image has been possible because there is a source of Light going through a ‘film strip’—your ego-mind—and projecting out onto the screen.

So what this means is that if the illusion is perceived in the “right way” it is possible to use the illusion to untangle yourself and set your Mind free from it all. It also means that everything you see around you is profoundly symbolic of the Truth or that which is behind the film strip. It means that it is possible to “see the gap between one frame of the illusion and the next” and in that gap will be the pure Light of God and That which I AM which—with enough discipline—you will be able to focus onto within your awareness and follow it back out of the illusion. I don’t expect any of this will make much sense but I suspect it has by now started creating a sense of struggle and strain within your ego-mind. Well it will do if you are giving serious attention to what I am saying here.

There are many things that can be said about the illusion. For instance, time is part of the illusion—so the linear continuum of time that you are so used to actually does not exist. It too is a product—or projection—of the ego-mind. What this means is that everything that you perceive to have happened within the illusion over the course of time has in fact all taken place simultaneously in one Now moment. Even more to the Truth is that in fact NONE OF IT ever ‘happened’ at all. Just like the dreams you have at night. They seem oh so real when you are in them but when you wake up you wake up to the fact that “none of it happened”. Again, read over this a few times and let it sink in.

Separation is also a major aspect of the illusion. First and foremost is our apparent separation from God. ‘Apparent’ because it is not true. Then there is the apparent separation between you and all the other people on this planet. Then there’s also the separation between this planet and the other dozen or so in our solar system. Separation is a major facet of the illusion and again, it simply is not how things are. Something else that arises through the belief in separation is ‘the belief in more than one power’. What I mean by this is that in our relative world of illusion there God is NOT the only power active in our experience. Disease has power. People can have power. Countries have power. Laws and institutions have power… etcetera etcetera The Truth is that there is ONLY ONE POWER and that is God. If you could but grasp the full ramifications of this Truth your whole world would change in every regard.

Obviously there are millions of rather interesting ramifications of what I have just shared with you. It pretty much undoes all of what we have considered to be true and real. What you specifically attach to and identify with within the illusion will determine just what the ramifications of the illusion will be for you in your experience. I don’t intent to go into any more at this time, but please explore these within your own meditations and times of contemplation.

Well, it’s now late at night and I wish to go to bed. I don’t feel like writing more on this tomorrow so I will close this article here. I might update it from time to time, but this shall suffice for now.
